Aspire E5-471P-36E6 Problem on microphone

My microphone is not working.  Previously i used windows 8 then upgraded to windows 10 and the microphone is not working.  No sounds were detected.  Please help..Aspire E5-471P-36E6

    Hi @Xerex

    1.Go to Control Panel and then Sound. Click on the Playback tab and look for a device that has the label “speaker”. Choose it and then click on the Set Default button. 

    2.To run the troubleshooter, select the Start  button, type Troubleshoot, and then select Troubleshoot from the list of results. Select Playing Audio > Run the troubleshooter.

    If the above steps fail you need to check for a restore point when the audio was working fine.

    Have you give the OS and the apps permission to use your microphone?

    It's under Settings/Privacy.
