my Acer Swift 3 SF314-57 started last 2 days this problem. I didnt have before any problem suddenly 2 days a go whenever i use the laptop without charger connected, screen is flickering. I can simply reproduce this way.
- if i am using on charger and disconnect it and continue using on the battery, no problem. It keeps working fine.
- Then i put on hibernate mode and start from hibernate, it will start flickering and after several times flickering, screen even remains dark.
- when i connect to the extra monitor, Monitor is displaying but laptop screen remains off or flickers randomly.
- If i restart the laptop on battery, problem wont go away. But if i connect to the charger and restart the laptop, everything is fine again.

I have the latest bios update, just did it yesterday but it didnt help. I have removed all the software i have installed within last 2 days. Any idea what could be the problem?

It looks like that i cannot edit my post. I wrote actually wrong my problem is not flickering but blinking. 2 different things. my screen goes on and off rapidly and goes off after sometime till i restart it. Problem seems to be with this driver of Intel Display Adaptor. Below version causes this issue. I could hardly uninstall the driver while it is blinking and immediately blinking was stopped. So what to do know?

    VGA Driver

    Date:

    2020/08/07

    Version:

    27.20.100.8280

    Vendor:

    Intel

This is 100% problem with this driver version and i cannot believe Acer is giving it as latest update. Is there anyone from Acer here, i want to ask why? why are giving a buggy driver to us? When I go to Device Manager and search for Update of the driver, it only finds this one but Intel has 4 more updates after this version. you can see it here.
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29808/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=197599

if you check the release notes of Version: 27.20.100.8336 which is 1 version after this buggy version, you can see the exact bug was mentioned.

    KEY ISSUES FIXED:

    • On PSR2 displays, internal embedded panel when plugged in may shift after resuming from lid close do nothing on 10th generation Intel Core processors with UHD Graphics.

I downloaded the latest version and tried to install and it showed that it is intalled and restart your PC, i restarted it. I tested again coming from the Hibernate and problem doesn't occur any longer. But then i found something interesting, I checked the version of the driver  26.20.100.7372 it is even older version but still working. When I check with intel asistant, it tells me that "Your Intel® drivers and software are up to date.". how this is possible I dont really understand it? I think that next windows update will bring this buggy driver version again :(  Acer needs to do something with Intel here.

Any solution yet? I'm facing the same issue. I just connected a external monitor and it's working fine. Then I have uninstalled Intel UHD drivers. Then the issue goes away. But the thing is that Intel driver automatically install again.
