Hello everyone ,,

I have a Acer Nitro 5, AN515-54-77

Core i7 9750
8GB Ram
512 SSD
GTX1650

My questions are:
1- is it possible to upgrading GPU ??
2- is there any way to make NVIDIA GPU is main GPU instead of INTEL GPU ??
3- I have Dual M.2 slots ... are both of them support NVME ? or one NVME other SATA ???
4- I want to add 2 NVME M.2 SSD, then merge together as RAID 0, to make it OS and other Software and Games drive..and SSD harddrive will be for Data storage is it possible ???
5- I need to upgrade RAM to 32GB (2x16) 2666, is Motherboard supoort that ??

thanks so much

These are the answers to your qustions:

    1. You can’t upgrade the GPU on modern laptops, as all GLU’s are soldered onto the mainboard and can't be changed but and if you want to goto this hassel? The GPU can be changed but and if you can get and change the mainboard as both CPU and GPU are soldered onto the mainboard. A cheaper way is for you to use the eGPU setup option which is an external GPU which there are allot setup options. If you want to go to that hassel also?
    2. You can use the "Nvidia Control Panel", to do that look up exsact settings on the web, its too long to explain here.
    3. The Nitro 5, AN515-54 can take 2x NVMe M.2 SSD's and 1x 2.5" SATA 3 - 6Gb/s SSD.
    4. Raid 0 is not quicker on most laptops (as laptops internal mainboard channelling bottlenecks) and limits Raid Arrays Max Speeds and does not take advantage of Raid Arrays like dedicated Raid BIOS desktops mainvoards do. Use your ordinary SSD's NVMe M.2’s and 2.5 inch SSD as its just as fast as a Raid 0 and also you will get more capacity from 3x SSD drives as "Raid 0" combines e.g. 2x 512GB to equal 512GB.
    5. Your Nitro 5 AN515-54 can take a max capacity of 32GB total RAM and the max suggested RAM is in kit form of 2x 16GB DDR4-2666MHz, don’t go to any higher speeds e.g. DDR4-3200MHz as the chipset wont handle it and it won't work.

thanks sir for your detailed answer..

just for clarification for point 4:

you mean to made RAID 0 between ( 1 NVME M.2 + 1 SATA SSD ) and keep other NVME M.2 for storage as the speed will not exceed my expectation as between 2 NVME M.2 .. all that due to motherboard restriction as not customizable like PC Motherboards.. is that correct ??
