    The green wire is the power enable wire.

    Well apparently its not because i tinkered around with all the wires from my 24-pin PSU with the 6-Pin Adapter and doesn't make any difference. it may be a special "Sense" wire.

    Here are the pinouts:

    Normally the wiring is color codes, with yellow being +12V, back being GND and green being PS_On. With some Acer MBs odd things happen if you actually connect the return GND that matches PS_On and with other weird things happen if you don't connect that wire.

    yes if i connect or "short" to gnd then its somewhat okay, but the PSU will be running non-stop either way if its connected or not.
