I have an old Predator G3-605 from 2012 (I think) and its having issues
I think I've narrowed it down to the graphics card, and I'm planning to replace it

This is the current card https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/geforce-gtx-760-oem/specifications/

and this is the card I think I want https://www.amazon.com/GeForce-Ultra-Gaming-06G-P4-1067-KR-ventilador/dp/B07RJGL33C/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=geforce+gtx+1060+6gb&qid=1599519994&sr=8-1
https://www.evga.com/products/Specs/GPU.aspx?pn=22ec222b-31ef-4f00-82ea-4dd69a8006cf

From what I can tell, the new card should fit fine
the manufacturer says it supports win 10 and 7, can I assume that 8 and 8.1 are included?

is there anything I'm overlooking before I buy?

Yeah, you shouldn't have any problem, unless your PSU is too weak, the 1060 should be a nice bump in performance without bumping the cost up to 3060 prices. :) Most GTX 1060 cards spec a 400W supply, the G3-605 models came with either a 300W or 500W.

so i just finished the project
before buying I did make sure I had the 500w power supply :-)

I got a 1660, and even though the drivers are not officially supported on win8.1, the win7 drivers have me running even better than the old card.

It's getting close to time to upgrade that W8.1 to W10, you have about a year and a half until they stop doing updates.
