As of recently my Acer swift 3 laptop started malfunctioning. And the main problem currently is that windows won't display the lock screen bar so that i can log in. What it usually does is that either it freezes in the windows wallpaper screen, i can move the mouse but clicking and sliding up wont qork or pressing the a key or i can press space and the wall paper screen moves but the bar that allows me to log in wont appears.

I've tried multiple things, default settings in the bios. Trying to get in to safe mode and other thing but the problem still persist. Anyone knows what can i doo?

1)On the lock screen click on the power button on the lower right corner then hold down the shift key while clicking on restart, this will cause the device to boot to the Windows recovery environment screen, from there you can perform startup repair, do system restore

    2)Click on spoiler

you might want to try the following troubleshooting suggestions:

    * Once you are on the locked screen, press any key ( Spacebar, Enter or Backspace ), it should take you to the next page where the system will be asking for your password.

    * Once you've reached the locked screen, press Control + Alt + Delete to get you to the next page where the system will ask for your password.

    * If still you are unable to go to the page where the system will be asking for your password, we suggest for you to try the next troubleshooting step.

Run the System File Checker tool

This is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. Click the link below for the steps to access this tool.

Download DDU uninstaller and amd/nvidia software

    DDU uninstaller→
    https://www.wagnardsoft.com/DDU/download/DDU v18.0.2.8.exe

Download latest Nvidia/Amd software from official Amd/Nvidia driver site by selecting your gpu details

After downloading, save both program in download folder

Now boot in safe mode→run ddu program→select gpu→clean and restart
(Click on spoiler if you don't know how to boot in safe mode)
    1. n the Windows sign-in screen, press and hold the Shift key while you select the Power  > Restart .
    2. After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.

Choose an option screen in the Windows Recovery Environment

Troubleshoot screen in the Windows Recovery Environment

Advanced options screen in the Windows Recovery Environment

Startup Settings screen in the Windows Recovery Environment

    3. After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in safe mode
After restart you will boot in normal window
Now, install amd/nvidia software and restart your laptop (before installing disable real time protection from settings)
