Hi all

I have a problem :s with my acer Aspire V17. It has a built-in USB C 3.1 Gen 1 upto 5.5GBs port. Connected to that port is my acer docking station Type III. All connections from the docking station including 1GB/s-LAN-connection are perfectly transfered to the Laptop, but unfortunately, the 2nd Display connected to the docking stations DP port ist not shown. So I can only connect one external screen to the built-in HDMI-port directly at the Laptop. That HDMI-port one works. But if I connect the HDMI-cable to the docking stations HDMI-port, the screen ist not recognized either. So apparently, the docking station cannot transmit display signals via the built-in USB C 3.1 Gen 1 upto 5.5GBs port to my laptop. Is there any possibility to circumnavigate that issue? On the Acer site I saw this adapter:

Cables and Dongles

Model Name: 3-in-1 Adapter: USB Type-C Gen1 to DisplayPort over USB-C & HDMI & DC-in. ACB810 Bulk Pack

Part Number: NP.CAB1A.020

Would this adapter help, if I connect it to tha laptops USB-C port and then connecting the docking station to the adapters USB-C-port? Or asked the other way around: Does this adapter enhance the built-in USB 3.1 plug with video signal capability?

Thanks for your help!
