invador0007 i dont advise anyone updating the bios unless its to solve a particular issue that the bios notes state it will solve apart from that theres no need and its risky so do it at your own risk also disable windows updates from updating drivers and firmware (or even permanently) might brick your device

That advice maybe good 10-15 years ago when a typical bios update involves solving a particular problem with a new CPU chip or new RAM stick. So if you are not buying a brand new RAM stick for your motherboard, there is no need to update your bios.

Now bios updates (particularly Intel) are about fixing security bugs like meltdown and spectre (and there are half a dozen subsequent related security bugs). The problem is that nobody will tell you in simple English that this particular bios update fixes these particular security bugs. So you have to assume that every single bios updates are about security fixes for the last 3 years.

Updated BIOS to 1.12 and there's no issue i came across, so if you are having any problem like overheating this update might fix.

I updated, and now it has no video and sound at startup. Keyboard backlighting cycles like normal start, then nothing after 30 seconds. Thoughts on how to recover?

Things i would suggest you can try
1- resetting bios to default then change settings according to your comfort or leave it so.(there is an option for startup sound in bios menu).
2- check you predator sense settings for "back-light off after 30 seconds" and "system boot animation and sound".(set what you want it for)
3-Try reinstalling display driver using DDU 'Display Driver Uninstaller' download and clean install drivers.
Even after these steps, if there is a problem let me know.

As there is no changelog given alongside the update 1.12 but what i noticed is there is no such big changes unless you like to live on the edge i won't suggest to upgrade. If you having any issues then i can suggest you to upgrade BIOS.

    1. I think I may have an issue. I was having many problems with Windows 2004 and thought installing the optional updates will solve it. So I installed a firmware update ( Not realizing firmware is same as bios. From V1.10 to V1.12). After that update, sound didn't play through my headphones. I get the windows prompt asking if it is a headphone, headset etc., but even after selecting any option, the sound continues to play through laptop speakers. I was frustrated thinking that it was a Windows issue and Downgraded my Windows to 1909 ( Thankfully I made a Recovery USB when I was in Windows 1909) by reinstalling windows. But even now sound plays only through laptop's speaker ignoring the plugged in headphones.
    2. I also have one more problem but not sure if it is because of reinstalling windows or Bios Update. My Factory undervolt of -125mV in my Helios 300 2019 is now gone. I checked it with HWinfo .  Is there any way of bringing it back?

For your queries individually I suggest.
    1) The audio issue, I also had encountered and for that while playing audio from laptop speaker open Realtek audio console.
Go to Device advanced settings and change analog setting to speaker out and headphone back and forth while audio playing from laptop speaker and it'll eventually play the audio from your headphones.

For me doing this 2 or 3 times fixed the issue permanently now I don't have to open Realtek audio utility to get the audio from my external speakers instead of laptop one's even while plugged in.

    2) For the undervolt issue I suggest you to reinstall Predator sense app as it is the one that manages the undervolt and uninstall Intel XTU if installed completely, sometimes it interferes with the predator sense settings of undervolt.

Hope this will resolve your issue and if not you can ping me again.

I have tried reinstalling the Predator sense app and I am able to see the undervolt in HWinfo. But when I shut down the laptop and turn it on again the undervolt disappears again. Any solution to permanently keep the undervolt?

And for the Headphones audio issue I have tried changing the Analog type in Device advanced settings for a couple of times and its not solved yet. I will try a few more times and let you know.

Uninstall intel XTU and Predator Sense with some power uninstaller like IObit Uninstaller that'll clean remaining files and registry, then reboot and install Predator Sense that way it'll be restored permanently and check for intel extreme tuning service running in background that can also interfere even after uninstalling XTU.
For audio issue uninstall all the audio drivers from the system completely wave utility ,realtek audio console and drivers then download older copy from acer support page and install it via .bat file.

I downloaded drivers from acer website and only the Realtek audio utility had .bat file . For the Realtek Audio console and Waves audio utility there was no setup file. I am new to this. How can I install these files? (Sorry for asking many questions). I tried running the Install_UWP file but it shows error.

I have installed Predatorsense as you said and now the factory undervolt problem is solved. But the Headphone audio is still there even after uninstalling and reinstalling the 3 drivers. I will see if it gets solved on its on in a few days and let you know. Thank you so much for your help dude.
