Hello, I've had my laptop for over 3 years now and I really want to increase the storage of it, I want to replace the stock 1tb hard drive with something much larger like 5 tb or possibly more? The problem is thst I don't exactly live in a place with great support from amazon or acer or pretty much anything so I wanted to ask how large of a hard drive can the laptop take and of there's a certain brand or size you recommend and thanks in advance!

MrMemes m.2 up to 2tb either sata or nvme and 2.5" 2tb on hdd 7/9.5mm form factor (anything over 2tb on hdd its 15mm form factor wont fit you will have to use it externally via usb with an enclosure the largest 2.5" hdd u can get its a 5tb seagate to use as external of course) or 4tb+ on ssd i recommend wdblue for all good luck :)

After looking at the prices I might as well buy a Ps4 and an xbox one and just use those to play some of the games, it'd be cheaper 😂

MrMemes i didnt said it was cheaper lol its much cheaper to buy a 2.5" 5tb hdd and use it as external in a good and fast startech 10gbps enclosure usb 3.0/usb-c same as i have and 90% of my games are running from the usb drive without issues have more than 140 installed only needed to move a couple to the ssd that need the ssd to run properly like Anthem for ex :)

Hmmm, didn't know that an external enclosure can be thst fast, could it work for a 3.5 inch drive as well? If I am going to invest into this setup I might as well get something like 10tb (or whatever the highest storage hdd that ships to my country is), if so can you recommend me something good for the enclosure?

MrMemes check startech website and if u go for a 3.5 drive go for 7200rpm i dont go for a 3.5 because the 2.5 its attached with velcro circles to the back of the laptop a 3.5 would be too heavy for that
