Hello all,

My new Acer AN515-44 is lagging when I use bluetooth headphones. More specifically, when I am in video calls, or even just listening to stuff on youtube the audio will crackle and/or drop throughout my use, roughly every 10 or so seconds (sometimes more, sometimes less). I have updated the drivers from Acer's website, but have had no change. The drops in audio will occur on battery and not on battery, and also affect my bluetooth mouse, which will also drop in and out in terms of detecting motion (when I am moving the cursor). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

    HI @AsherVane

Go to control panel > click on sound > under playback devices select the speakers and right click on it. Now do a sound test to see it's behaviour.

If it's still the same then try power drain

    Steps to perform power drain.
    1. Unplug the power source
    2. Flip the computer upside down and check for tiny battery reset pinhole
    3. Use a paper clip, insert it into the pinhole and hold it for 30-40 sec
    4. Now turn on the computer to see it's behaviour.

Click " Accept" if this was useful to you!!  :)

    Hello,

I tired power cycling the computer but unfortunately the problem has persisted :(

I am having the same trouble.

My Apple Airpods are having the worst issue - when streaming video from Youtube through Google Chrome, the audio gets very "stuttery" and within a little while will stop transmitting, though it still looks like they are paired and connected.  The time for this to happen is variable.  Some times it can go a while with no issues, other times audio stops within 10 seconds.

I have a second set of bluetooth earbuds that are a little better; they never fully drop out, but will still stutter, though a bit less.

    Looking for a solution!

A514-52-58U3 with the Intel AX201 wifi/bluetooth.  Drivers are all up-to-date.

Changing the Windows 10 Power Options to maximize performance for the network adapter was the trick for me.  I guess, on battery, the wifi was dropping out intermittently, causing the issue.  So far so good!
