Helios 300 PH315-52 mic not working

So this problem appeared first day before yesterday, when I tried to play a game after cleaning and repasting my Helios 300 Ph315-52 laptop. The internal microphone was not working. Surprisingly, it worked fine the next day morning after I ran the windows troubleshooter and restarted the laptop. It stopped working again the same evening and has stopped working hence forth. The drivers are up to date in device manager, the microphone array device is not disabled. I also tried troubleshooting it again but troubleshooter can't find any problem. If it was a hardware issue, shouldn't troubleshooter have identified it already? I really need help with this issue.

Try this method : 

1--> go to windows settings > privacy > microphone - make sure it's enabled

2---> go to control panel > hardware & sound > Hd audio manager - double click the little circle underneath where it says "analog" and select "headset".

if the above method doesn't work, try with restarting by try holding down your power button to shut off the computer and restart it.

1) It's already enabled

2) I can't find anything called HD audio manager there. Are you sure there is anything like that there?
