No Bootable Device Found on Acer Predator Helios 300 (2019) - PH315-52

Hi,

I've been facing this problem recently when I play Dota and that too a particular event mode. I used to play this mode previously during the initial months of Battle Pass with no issues. When I play that mode, I will be able to play for 5 to 6 mins or so and then the screen hangs and I get the BSOD. Im not able to read the Error Code as well, as it restarts pretty quickly.

I tried checking the Memory using the Memory Diagnostics Tool, tried checking the firmware updates for SSD using WD SSD Toolbox. I tried reinstalling the game, verifying the files as well. Im able to play other games pretty well with no issues.

This "No Bootable Device Found" thing goes away after some 6 to 10 times of restart and switching off system for some time and then restarting again. Im not able to understand what the exact problem is. Also its pretty annoying to reset everytime this comes up. And yes the game is not on SSD.

Kindly help me identify what the issue is and possible solution as well.

Hi @egydiocoelho . Looks like the problem is resolved after disabling the fast startup, I played close to 3 matches yesterday on that mode and didnt face any BSOD. However im still a bit skeptical that this problem might arrive at some point in future.

Does the windows event viewer record any specific errors? Also, does the same problem occur when disabling fast startup in power options?

Thanks for the comment @egydiocoelho . I disabled the Fast Startup and tried the game again. I didnt encounter the No Bootable Device. Also I tried going through the Error Logs. There are quite a few, Im not sure as to which one to Isolate. There was an error on Intel RST though.

Im still testing if the No Bootable Device error occurs again. I will post the updates

I'm facing an issue of no bootable device. I'm using a predator Helios 300 PH315-52.
In the bios its showing HDD 1. Nvme SSD doesn't support HDD password. Also in boot section tr is no option to change any settings. Please help.

# Try to get the BIOS page.

1. Turn OFF the unit.

2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
3. You will be in setup utility page.
4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
