Hi all,
i replaced a broken screen on my laptop. The new screen is compatible and seems ok but the laptop simply will not boot, even from a USB.
I've trawled these forums and tried everything i can see; crested bootable USB, changed BIOS settings, used Rufus and nothing works!!
It's driving me nuts!!
It either displays an endless Acer logo trying to boot from the hard drive or doesn't boot from the USB if configured to do so.
If I configure the BIOS to legacy it tries to go to the 'Configuration utility' and tells me that the hard drive is 'Incompatible'
Please help!!

1)boot in bios then disable secure boot(if option is grey then set supervisor password and try again)
    2)Enable F12 boot menu
3)change boot mode from UEFI to Legacy
    Save and exit

Now completely shutdown your laptop then insert Usb→turn on your laptop and keep pressing F12 key you will boot in usb

Thanks for that, but i have tried all of this.
I have tried booting from USB in Legacy and UEFI mode but no luck.
If I am in Legacy mode it wants to open the 'configuration Utility', which tells me that the hard drive is 'Incompatible'
Is this significant? Does it indicate a hardware fault?
