Open device manager click on views→show hidden devices
Now, click on action→scan for hardware changes and restart your laptop and check

If problem still persists run window update

    Hi GAMING6698
Yep, it use to have WiFi on my M3970 desktop if I am not using the network cable, I have another desktop also have wireless function.
I wonder would that be possible the NIC card busted or the BIOS need to be updated?

Make sure you haven't hit the key that puts you in airplane mode. It's F2 on my Switch, but could be different on your model.

Yeah, next step is going to be to verify the hardware is working. The WLAN card which gives you WiFi and Bluetooth is a PCIe x1 card plugged into one of the slots (I believe you have three PCIe x1 slots and one PCIe x16, all v2.0). Try pulling it out and reseating it in the connector a couple of times. It might just have some corrosion or dust built up on the contacts between the card and connector. If that doesn't fix it the cheapest solution is likely a USB adapter, but you might find a good price on a PCIe just because they are so old...

ADOINC if the device its not showing up in the device manager not even under hidden devices (sometimes windows updates drivers install devices as other type this used to happen for ex ethernet adapters installed as audio devices happened to me a lot in the past the solution would be to manually install the correct manufacturer drivers) if theres no new devices at all i would have to agree with @billsey it should probably be a hardware issue worst case scenario a faulty wifi adapter if this is the case and if still on warranty the best should be to contact acer support and send it back asap good luck :)

    Hi Xapim,

    Thank you for you information
My M3970 warranty expired long time ago, the last thing I have to do is like @billsey said to verify the hardware.

    Thanks everyone's help

At least a replacement card isn't all that expensive...

I think I'd look into the Intel cards with 802.11ac wireless on them. That's not so new that you'll be fighting driver updates for the next year or two and not so old that you'll be back in 11n (or 11g!) speeds. I'd expect it to cost somewhere between $10-30.
