VN7-792g-70KY: Upgrade Qualcomm Atheros Wireless AC Wi-Fi adapter QCNFA344A

I installed new ram in my laptop the other day and the post on my Wi-fi card pop off.

So, I cut the connectors off and solder them back on to my WI-if adapter. Working but not great.

What I would like is to upgrade to an Intel compatible Wi-fi adapter if possible.

I have searched for such an animal, but in all my life have I ever seen so many numbers for a part and the same part. Absolutely absurd…!

Oh, and the other is I need an antenna also, if you could, provide the numbers for this to, it would be appreciated.

Acer had different vendors supplying those cards and even different specs at different times. The cards are: Foxconn NFA344A/NFA222, Lite-on NFA344A/NFA222 and Intel WLAN 7265.NGWG.W. Acer part numbers are NC.23611.02Z, NC.23611.030 and NC.23611.018. The last one is 802.11a/g/n the other two also support 802.11ac. The interface is PCIe on an M.2 slot. So ... you should be able to use pretty much any of the M.2 WLAN/Bluetooth cards. Acer doesn't sell the antennas separately from the LCD back cover, the part number for it is 60.G6RN1.005. You might pull it apart and measure the antenna cable length and look for them that way. Also, you have a M.2 slots for a SATA SSD as well, upgrading to add that in would be a significant performance improvement.
