Hi Guys I purchased a Helios 300 last year in October and it conked off on 21June suddenly. no damage, connected to a spike guard I don't even travel with it. I contacted the service guys and they told me to reset the battery first and after it didn't work they inspected it and told me the motherboard needs to be changed. they did this and there was a problem with the battery charging so they changed the batery as well. the problem still persisted so they raised a new complaint and changed my motherboard (again) as well as changed my adapter.
the problem still persisted and eventually the laptop ran out of battery and refuses to start. since then I have been trying to pursue the matter by every means possible but still being told that the motherboard may need to be changed (3rd time) etc. my laptop is IN WARRANTY.
the service guys have visited me 8 times. and spent over 12 hours trying to repair the laptop. in doing so they have dismantled, re assembled and taken apart my laptop a good 15-20 times (doesnr this cause damage to the laptop?). they have upgraded the BIOS etc which is standard protocol.
As of now the laptop is completely dead (stil in warranty) and acer guys haven't visited me since the second change in motherboard. Shouldn't they now replace/refund my laptop?
the whole situation is further complicated since I am a doctor and have to specifically take out time for each visit.
What should I do? Acer India don't seem to respond to mails- the number they gave me of the regional service manager does not pick up his phone .
suggestions are welcome.
