I bought an acer Aspire 5 a514-52-542 months ago. But now when I try to switch it on , it's not doing that. The fan is running but the screen remains black. Tried connecting to my TV to see if it's working. Sadly nothing was coming through. Is they a way of fixing whatever is going on. Thank you

    Please try these steps :

1.unplug the notebook and unplug it from the electrical outlet! Turn the notebook over and press the battery reset hole for five seconds and then leave the notebook off for five minutes:

    2. If the first option does not work, it is possible that the interlock button is not pressed properly! To solve this, put some layers of electrical tape in the compartment that presses this button:

Aspire 5 is in a state of sleep, black screen, cannot bring up any windows menus.

Tried Win keys menu options and various battery restart, but only the fan runs and key LEDS are on. The screen is completely black, very annoying. This is a new PC, and so far I have switched it on 3 times in 3 months, hardly used.

Tried the reset button underneath, and it still doesnt display anything after switching on.

The power supply works and the battery works.

    Please help.
