I created a topic last year that my Wi-Fi adapter was no longer identified by the system.
And I updated that after the Windows 10 1903 release, the device was again recognized by the system but, still showed the original driver version.
Well here we are now on Windows 10 2004 and the device is still here but, I have now confirmed that it does not work.
The device is enabled and present in device manager and "Network Connections" but Windows 10 doesn't even process it as a Wi-Fi adapter, there is no "Wi-Fi" category in "Network & Internet" in Settings and the device is not able to connect to any networks.
I tried reverting to older drivers and even a newer one that is in the Microsoft Windows Update catalog but, nothing got it working. Currently on driver version 10.0.0.355.
I found some unofficial drivers that are newer but, was not able to find a source for download.
Here's a link to my old post:
https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/560833/qualcomm-atheros-ar5bwb222-poofed-atc-605-ub11#latestIf anyone else owns an ATC-605-UB11 or any similar Acer desktop that has the Qualcomm Atheros ar5bwb222 bluetooth/wifi modul in it, and you are having the same problem, a confirmation of that would be nice so I can close the book on this and accept that it is the drivers that are bad and not the hardware itself.
There is no solution for this, it is either drivers are no longer compatible with Windows 10 OR the hardware has failed but, i would like to poll the community and see if others are having this problem also.
