Acer Nitro 5 screen tearing

On basically any game, (except for Minecraft, not sure why though) I get noticeable screen tearing. Turning on V-sync in game does fix the tearing for the most part, but causes a lot of input lag. A lot of my games don't have that option anyway. I've tried turning V-sync on in the Nvidia Control Panel and the profile inspector, but it just doesn't do anything. The framerate limiter works but doesn't fix the screen tearing no matter how low I go. Any help is appreciated.
