Hi all, have a couple of issues with this less than month old laptop. I got help with one of the issues I was having so that one is solved, however now a couple more have reared their ugly heads.

The first is not a major problem, it is Windows after all, but after I let the updates install, it reboots afterwards, finishes the updates, loads, I sign in and within a minute, Blue Screen. Tells me Windows ran into a problem and needs to restart. It does so, reboots and immediately Blu screens again, reboots, goes into diagnostic mode, fixes itself by uninstalling updates, reboots and all is well. Well that is if you don't mind not having any sound. Using the Assistant does nothing as my sound card is somehow no where to be found.

2nd Issue. Turning on the laptop and pressing F2 used to get me to BIOS. After the first factory reset, this is no longer the case. The laptop hangs on the the black screen with the green ACER logo. Even when I try and go into BIOS from within windows I get the same result.

I can still access the boot menu from F12 to boot the second drive (Arch Linux) and it works just fine. No issues at all. Just with windows and not being able to get into the BIOS is the problem.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

All your problems are solvable problem(s) but you need to give more details on your first problem which is not really and because "it is Windows after all"? =) there must be a reason?

    1. What is the BSOD blue screen error? Give us the exact terminology/description of the error, it could be that you have bad or conflicting driver(s) etc etc...
    2. For a GPT/UEFI bios its best to get into the bios through Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced Startup (that is if you can get into the OP) instead of pressing the F2 or F12, which does not always work or you have to be quick and/or virtually press either of these keys as soon as you rebooted the PC and keep your finger on it until the bios loads.
