I followed instructions on how to add an SSD to my Aspire E 15-575-33BM and it seemed to work fine. The SSD is proving faster speed , which is great. The problem is that the original HDD , does not show up or is accessible. And that is where most of my data is.

    Hi,
Could you please post the Disk management picture, how did you transfer the OS to new SSD?

The HDD drive does appear on the BIOS boot menu, but it does not show up under file manager once windows is up

    Hi,
Right click Start(Windows logo in the far left corner), select Disk Management and post the snip of it like mine.

One reason it may not show up in the usual way is that the old drive has been disabled in the system BIOS/UEFI. Consult your instruction manual for which key to press during startup to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup screen. In there you can check if the missing drive is enabled or disabled.
If you can't fix it you may wish to remove the old drive and connect it to a different computer using an external case with USB cable (cost around $10) and try to access/offload/copy your data. If that's successful you could then re-format the old drive and copy all your data back onto it and restore it into the original computer.

I entered the BIOS/UEFI setup screen, but I don;t see any option on how to enable or disable the missing drive
