TRYING TO GET A SECURITY CODE

IN SETTING UP A NEW LAPTOP i MUST OF PUT MY EMAIL IN WRONG BECAUSE IN TRYING TO get a security code it asked me to type in the hidden parts of my email, but, the email they thats there doesn't have the correct amount of hidden spaces, so how do I correct the email when it won't let me "go back"?
