I need to know if my laptop will work for online class is it dual core and supports VIRTUALIZATION

My laptop is aspire e 15 575 33bm the class has the following requirements

Processor Dual-core processor (Intel or AMD) or better (MUST BE CAPABLE OF VIRTUALIZATION)
Memory 4 GB (or higher)
Disk Storage Adequate free space for storage of class files

Monitor/Speakers 15” or larger Flat LCD Panel
Media Drive 16x DVD +/- RW
Operating System Windows 7 (or higher)
Network Interface High Speed Broadband Internet Connection (Cable or DSL)
Software Microsoft Office Suite 2010 or later with the following:
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Access
  • PowerPoint
Access requirements Reliable and daily access to a personal computer (PC) from day 1 of class as below:
  • Ability to download/upload documents and files
  • Browsers:
    • o   Internet Explorer (version 11 or higher)
    • o   Firefox (version 31.0 or higher
    • o   Google Chrome 36.0
does my laptop support this need some help. I added ram this year btw.

    Every laptop is capable of virtualization, I'm guessing that what they're really asking is for hardware assisted virtualization, so that you can run things in a speedier way.

    After checking its specs, the E5-575-33BM ships with an i3 7100U which does support both VT-x (+EPT) and VT-d so you should be covered in that regard. However, do as @egydiocoelho suggests and check your firmware settings (F2 when powering the laptop) to see if there's any setting for there. The task manager (of all things!) can also tell you:



    It would be odd if those instructions were intentionally disabled, but hey, I've seen weirder things haha.

    Task manager shows two cores and four logical processors it shows Virtualization Enabled I think I should be all set.
