CAN  MY HTC VIVE COSMOS WORK WITH THE ACER G3-572. THE LAPTOP DOESN'T HAVE A DISPLAY PORT NOR A MINI DISPLAY PORT. I NEED A DISPLAY PORT IN ORDER TO LINK THE HEADSET TO THE COMPUTER AND COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.

SOMEONE ON THE VIVE FORUM SUGGEST USING A DISPLAY PORT TO TYPE C USB ( THE TYPE C SHOULD SIGNAL 1.2).

I HAVE SPENT A SMALL FORTUNE ON THE LAPTOP AND VR HEADSET.

ANSWERS OR SUGGESTIONS  ARE WELCOME.

ADE1 your laptop doesnt have a thunderbolt 40gbps port for video output neither a dp port needed your usb-c its only 3.1 gen 1 5gbps so you wouldnt be able to use it also no need to write in caps everyone knows thats considering shouting and as i said no u cant convert a normal usb c port to thunderbolt as i already said will not support video output sorry it will never work you have wasted your money on your vr set without having a proper laptop to run it if you wish to use it properly u need to get a laptop that supports it with a dp port without thunderbolt or both try a 2019/20 H300/T500 and if anyone in the vive forum suggested that they dunno what they are talking about or unless you probably told them your usb c was thunderbolt which isnt good luck :)

Here is your usb c port supported speeds
