predator g3 710 Keyboard error on boot. Can't login.

Hey everyone, really hoping for some help.

As the title states when I boot up I noticed "keyboard error" at the bottom of the usual preamble. Windows starts to boot...and then thats it. I'm stuck at my login Screensaver. Although the lights are on my optical mouse nothing happens from clicking. Login screen won't come up. I've rebooted a bunch..i obviously can't get into the bios because the keyboard doesn't work.

I've tried every usb port front and back and also bought a brand new keyboard. Same result.

I should mention it is a predator tower..can't recall the exact model but I can find that out if it helps.

Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would help to have the full model number... Can you check to see if any of the USB ports are providing power, even if the data is hosed? Without keyboard it's goign to be tough to do much in the way of diagnostics. Any chance you are still in warranty?

My phone will take a charge if plugged into the USB port

Do you know if this problem occurred just after a windows update? Does the same problem occur when connecting another keyboard?

It's possible....I was away from home for quite some time and encountered the problem the first time I flashed it up.

Same problem with a brand new keyboard.

Maybe a drivers issue with the USB controller?

I've read elsewhere about similar issues being rectified by using a jumper on the motherboard to clear the CMOS.

Try this, start your system, then just after the Acer logo disappears and Windows 10 tries to boot, press and hold the power button down for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a hard shut down

Do this Twice

On the third boot attempt, Windows will boot into the Windows 10 Repair Environment, from there you can access Startup Recovery, Safe Mode, Command Prompt . . . etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Startup Settings, click restart.

Was able to get to the recovery screen as you suggested but unfortunately I'm not able to select either option. The lights are on in my mouse but nobody's home.
