Random sparkle noises and dead indicator LED on Acer Nitro 5.

I have been using this(Acer Nitro 5) laptop for over a year nown (nearly two) as a primary computing device and it has been running very smoothly so far. But recently, I noticed some concerning issues I'm having, the indicator LED lights have died, the charging light often lights up and shows the status but the power state LED lights up once in a blue moon.
It had been an issue for a few months but it didn't bother me since the computer was running as it should, it was charging and used battery yada yada. But the problems soon started to emerge in various forms, the computer then occasionally reject power from the charger, I thought it was due to playing games and heating up the charger, so I'd often let the charger cool down for a couple of minutes whenever the computer rejected power.
This problem soon became a rare occurrence to regular basis. And then I'd ear some random sparkling/crackling noises. At first I thought something caught up into the cooling fans, but I was wrong.
Has the charger been malfunctioning? Or the computer has a loose connection on the charging port?
I'd much appreciate any sort of advice. Thank you.
