Placeholder boxes and non functioning fills in Microsoft Powerpoint for ASPIRE U5-710

I am not sure why the same problem for images I had with some browsers also happened in Microsoft Office. This cross-like box keeps appearing and circular fills in PPT cannot be seen despite being selected. For rectangle shape, it works.

    I'm not completely sure what you're trying to do here, do you want the circle filled as well? Which version of Office are you using? In mine there are controls for it in the Shape Format tab:

    Yes, I am trying to fill the circle. But it didn't work. My interface is also experiencing this box-like malfunction.

    Try the Shape Fill pulldown menu when the circle is selected.
