SF515-51T overheating

Hi. I have this laptop for a year now. For the last few months I noticed a performance drop when I connected or disconnected the charger.
It was getting more and more serious.
First I thought it was a software issue, but I checked the CPU temperatures yesterday and it seems way too high.
Idle temperature seems to be around 50C. When I use it for light browsing + some other programs maybe a call, it goes up to 70-80C and sometimes has peaks around 98C. Which is almost the maximum.
When I connect the charger the whole laptops starts lagging, so I assume that's when it regulates the CPU performance to avoid overheating.

Is this a common problem? Do I have to clean the ventilation system or reapply thermal paste? Can it be something else?

While I don't know whether it's common or not, cleaning the cooling solution and re-pasting with a high performance compound will surely help.

In any case, there's no rogue program running in the background consuming resources right?

The CPU utilization isn't very high, it's between 0 - 50% for light activity with like 20% average. I also didn't notice any unknown programs draining a lot of CPU.

I'll try the repasting + cleaning, though probs I won't do it myself. I did it multiple times for my pc, but not sure if it's a good idea to disassemble this laptop
