Hi
I have been having problems with USB deices not being recognised and also now I have an "unrecognised device" which turns out to be the bluetooth controlller.
I now have an issue with anything plugged into the USB ports
After looking at several posts/support forum updates regarding similar issues I have tried:
1. Updating
2. Reinstalling
3. Disabling/Re-enabling
4. Reinstalling the Serial Bus etc.
5. Going to the actual driver vendor site and downloading the drivers.
None of this has helped. What seems to be the primary reason (of course I could be wrong) is that for some reason I cannot update the drivers? Every time I try to update a driver, no matter what it is for I get the same error message:

This error message is displayed for ALL drivers I try to update - USB/Serial Bus/Bluetooth.
For all USB ports I am told that the ports are working properly, although it does not recognise devices.
See screenshot below for example:

The laptop is up to date

Please help, really stuck!!!

Thanks

When I have seen that type of error before the updates were failing because the drive was in a bad state. Try doing a chkdsk on the C: drive and have it fix all errors automatically then retry the updates.

    Hi
I have re-run the "2004" Windows 10 update and this seems to have resolved the issue. Looks like the patch hadn't applied correctly?

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they marked the partition is busy during the update, then didn't unmark it when it finished.
