I have 4GB (2x2GB) and want to upgrade to 8GB. I have bought the exact same type of RAM 2x4GB, but when I start up, after raplacing the 2x2 with 2x4, It Just shows the ACER start screen, and nothing else happens. Not even the kayboard is active. What to do?
Thanks

The slots are in pairs, are you putting both modules in one pair or one module in each pair? Does it give any beeps when trying to turn it on? Do you see the Acer logo on the screen?

Hi billsey. Thanks for your comment. The current, functioning RAM are in two blue slots (there are two blue and two black slots.) So If the blue ones are one pair, then it must be both modules in one pair, as the current ones are plased. I have simply taken the current ones out and replaced them with the new ones. It does not give a beep when starting up after replacing the rams. Just the Acer screen and notning else. I have tried leaving the current RAM as they are, in the two blue slots, and installing the new ones in the two black slots, but then it goes mad and errors and reboots and reboots on and on

OK, let's look at the modules themselves then. my guess is the new ones are either the wrong speed or the wrong voltage. Here are the specs:
Which speed are in there now? Which speed are you trying  to put in? For dual channel mode both sticks on a channel need to match each other.

on the label it says  2GB PC3 10600 so I guess it is 1333 mhz. The new ones are the same, only 4GB instead. In slots 0/2

Yeah, you don't want to mix sizes in the same bank, I think... Try the two 2GB in slots 0/1 and the two 4GB in 2/3. If that doesn't work I'm backward and they should be paired 0/2, 1/3.

These are the exact specs. of the new ones:
    V-nr.: 1013048 | Kingston Technology | Model-nr.: KVR13N9S8HK2/8 | EAN: 740617216950

    Kingston ValueRAM - DDR3 - 8 GB: 2 x 4 GB - DIMM 240-pin - 1333 MHz / PC3-10600 - CL9 - 1.5 V - ikke-ECC

Thanks, I´ll try that. But it´s funny, cause if I just replace the old rams with the new ones, in the same slots, it still does´nt work.

Yeah, it sure looks like those should work fine...
