Does HDMI work with a KG271?

I know this is a very dumb question but I need help, in a weird way. Whenever I plug the HDMI into my XBOX and my Monitor, it never works, it always says "No signal" and I've done everything I could, by means that I have changed the display settings from DP to HDMI and nothing works, however, I plug the HDMI into a Dell monitor and it works, however, I can't use it since it's very small and some water has gotten into it and I have thick lines into it which makes it harder to see certain stuff. Does anyone know if HDMI actually works with a KG271? And if it does, how come it doesn't work with my XBOX?

Sure, if you have an HDMI in port it should work with HDMI. Which KG271 model do you have? Is it brand new? If so you might just contact the vendor and swap it out. If a bit older contact Acer support for warranty repair.

@billsey, I bought it from Amazon and in the title it says "Acer KG271Cbmidpx 27 Inch" it's about like 2 months I think.

@billsey , also , when I plug in the HDMI and I change the settings from "DP in" to "HDMI" and save it, it goes to a black screen for a few seconds then goes back to DP..

Yeah, you should have HDMI working. Amazon is great with returns, just have them swap it out for another if you are still in the window. Since you used the same cable with the other monitor it's not  bad cable issue.

I don't think I can return it to be honest, I've had this monitor for over a month and I think that Amazon only accepts returns within a month of receiving the item, I'll just buy a transformer which changes the DP into HDMI ..

Watch out for those, DP to HDMI and HDMI to DP are different... If your XBox is HDMI then you want HDMI to DP.
