Does anyone know why the dvi input on my Acer G226HQL will not work at all. Whenever I switch the input to dvi, it simply goes black for a second, and then boots me right back to vga. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!

What is the computer/laptop and operating system that you are trying to connect the Acer G226HQL to? As the Acer G226HQL comes with a HDMI socket and you can connect the monitor with a HDMI cable forget about the DVI cable. Btw, the only models that came with DVI-D, VGA D-Sub plugs is the Acer G226HQLBbd. If you have this model? Then, I would suggest that you purchase a DVI to HDMI cable and connect your Acer G226HQLBbd that way, as HDMI is a much better way of connecting a monitor.

Hi Steven, your right my mistake. I have the monitor with only the dvi and vga inputs. I currently have a desktop on windows ten connected to the vga port, and recently ordered a hdmi to dvi adapter to try and connect my xbox, but it is not working at all! The xbox is turning on but whenever i change inputs from my desktop on vga to my xbox on dvi, the screen stays black and within seconds it kicks me back to the vga input.
