Hello!

I recently bought a generic headset with a built in mic, i tested the headset on my android phone and both the playback and mic input work well. However when i connect it to my laptop playback works fine but not microphone. when i open sound from control panel i can only see microphone array and stereo mix, i tried setting stereo mix as default input but still not working, i uninstalled the driver  times and every time it still reverts to normal. when i plug in my headset i do choose the headset option from the pop up. I have been trying for hours now but to no avail. Would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks

Well all I can say is that it`s 100% not a hardware issue, I have the same issue on Windows but on Linux every headset work as expected. If you have the mood to play with win and the drivers - good luck. I personally don`t have the nerve to waste time with it.
