Hi,

Just bought an Acer Swift 3 with Comet Lake CPU (i5-10210U). I can't find that specific SKU on acer website.
Model Name: SF314-58-567B
Part Number: NX.HPMEA.00H
Model no: N17W7

I would like to know if the USB-C support Thunderbolt or display out. I want to connect 2 external displays.

I can see the thunderbolt driver intel_wmi_thunderbolt is loaded on Linux but I am not sure if the USB-C support it.

Thanks

    Specs say "USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps)" and doesn't specifically say it supports DP over USB-C. It is not a Thunderbolt port although as you can see the Intel driver supports both hardware protocols. You could try a USB-C to DP cable, but you'll be more likely to get it working with one of the USB-C docks.

    @billsey Thank for the reply
    Where did you the specification for this model as I can't find it, can you post the link.
    I can't spend money on a random USB-C dock/cable, they are expensive in my country (Mauritius), returning purchased products is a NO NO here and reselling it will not be easy.

    I know that some USB-C docks/cable that support DisplayLink will work but reponse time is not good.

    I want to know if this model support DisplayPort via USB-C.

    https://www.acer.com/ac/en/IL/content/model/NX.HPMEC.001 has the USB-C spec included. As I said before, DP over USB-C is not listed as a supported mode, and they are usually good at listing it when available as it's a selling point.

    @billsey ok it look like a similar spec. I will have to go with a DisplayLink adapter then.

    Thanks
