F5-573G: RAM increase from 8GB to 12 GB

I have an Acer Aspire F5-573G with 8 GB RAM.
My son said that he can add another 4 GB RAM making 12 GB.
I just do the usual on my laptop,like checking emails,Facebook( very limited use,no FB games)I also play 2 Steam games & 2 Ubisoft games,do I really need the extra 4 GB RAM,will it make my laptop faster,games run better?

If it has 8GB now, it's likely that both RAM sockets are already filled with two 4GB modules, instead of a single 8GB module. So three 4GB modules with only two RAM slots to put them in isn't gonna cut it.
