Acer claims 10 hours of battery life and obviously I didn't expect that much but on testing it barely lasts 2 hours even on idle. I am wondering if it is a calibration issue or if it is just misleading marketing. Is this a recurring issue? I read forum posts about other previous model nitro 5 users experiencing the same. I would like to get more feedback from forum users about this so as to decide whether or not to file a complaint to consumer court.
I ran custom power schemes to see if there is any significant difference but there doesn't seem to be any. I expected at least 4 hours on idle but this is completely unacceptable. Imagine not even being able to finish a movie without having to plug in the charger again. Everything else is satisfactory on the 2020 model except for the battery. Please do share your experiences as well.
