Hi I have an Acer Nitro 50, N50-600-EB14 with an I78700k intel processor and currently have a 6GB Nvidia 1060 GPU. I want to upgrade to a 2070 super. I was wondering if that is a possible upgrade and which one to get? MSI, EVGA, Asus etc.

The Acer Nitro 50 N50-600-EB14 comes with an OEM power supply of 500W and that is a problem for the Nvidia RTX 2070 Super gpu's as its specs are as follows:

    1. Recommended System Power (W) - 550W

    2. Supplementary power connectors - 8 pins

    3. Graphics Card Power (W) - 185W

    4. Maximum GPU Temperature (in C) - 89˚c

You will have to change the power supply and make sure that you have an 8 pin plug for the Nvidia RTX 2070 Super to work, as the Nvidia GeForce® GTX 1060 GPU uses less power and has less performance. From my experience and for the top of the range and from what I’ve used, I would choose the RTX 2070 Super in this order:

    1. ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 Super Advanced (Multiple Versions) great quality and reliable gpu's, this gpu comes in 3 versions, with no factory OC, with minor OC and with significantly boosted out of the box OC or the Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2070 SUPER great card with WindForce Stack cooler which has 3 fans stacks on top of each other or the  2. Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC (this is the value card of the other two)

    Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2070 SUPER
