Fan Profiles on the Acer Spin 5 SP513-54?

I've seen that the new Acer Swift 5 features three fan profiles, "silent", "normal" and "performance". I would really love to see this feature on the new Spin 5 as well. I just got mine and like it very much, but the default fan profile seems a bit aggressive (and loud)! Being able to put it into "silent mode" would be absolutely amazing!
Maybe this is already possible and I just haven't figured out how to yet - if this is the case I would really appreciate some help

If it's not currently possible, I really hope that Acer can work to bring this feature to the Spin 5 as well, it would really make it the perfect device!

Very cool, where did you find this information? I've been trying to create a notebook fan control profile for the Spin 5 so that I can set the fan manually. I haven't had any success so far, but maybe this documentation will come in handy.
Also, do you happen to know anything about fan control and could help me out a bit? I would appreciate it so so much

In addition to what fellow Billsey said, make sure you can install the predator sense in the spin. To do this, download this version of the predator sense:

https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Application/Predator Sense/Predator Sense_Acer_3.00.3136_W10x64_A.zip?acerid=637133586213596884&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=PREDATOR&Step3=PREDATOR PH717-71&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

Then, go to the plugs folder and change the name Predator PH315-52 to Spin SP513-54 and then install the program. Inform if the installation works. With this program, I think you can change the speed of the fans in manual mode.

Thank you very much for your suggestion - this would have been very cool. Unfortunately, it tells me that "this computer is not supported" even if I change the name of the plugs folder

What is the Software that is used to change the fan profiles on the Acer Swift 5, maybe that would work better?

Perhaps the name is not correct. Can you send a screenshot of the acer care center, which shows the model of the notebook?

You were right, the name was not correct! Changing it to "Spin SP513-54N" did the trick! With this, I was able to install PredatorSense. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work with the Spin 5's fans

Changing the sliders does nothing.

I think finding the software that the Swift uses might be the only option. That or creating a profile for notebook fan control...

I think colleague @xapim managed to change some functions in the spin he has. Maybe he can tell us if he was able to enable fans on the predator sense.

glyko and egydiocoelho No PS functions wont work with any other devices apart from predator/nitro/triton on the spin5 nothing even shows up only the temps on the aspire 5 the fan speed shows up but no control over anything as i explained before what i did was for pure testing to show that PS can be installed on other models doesnt mean its functions will work at all because they wont work theres no point if fiddling with the software you wont get anything out of it it wasnt designed for those cpu models just forget about it and the only apps for the swift 5 i can find on the acer support are the normal care center and the quick access dont see any other software that would be able to control the fans like PS on the predators if you have a official acer software that can control the fan profiles in your swift 5 please posts prtscr because i cant find anything official from acer at all

Yeah, unless you can find the hardware info somewhere in order to edit those initialization files, Predator Sense isn't going to help. The Spin has the fan control baked into the BIOS... I'm afraid that even if you did get the ability to change the BIOS would just override it when you reached the next threshold.

I have the same problem with a new Spin 5 A5SP14. Fan is quite loud, feels like never get rest and it's consuming the battery. I also had to deactivate modern standby because when it goes to sleep, the fan keeps it on. Would be nice a solution from Acer support.

Rather than trying to get answers from an old thread for a completely different machine, you would be better served to start a new thread with your question. Please include the full model number, I believe it's likely an Aspire A5SP14-51MTN, but check on the same sticker as your SN and SNID to be sure. Describe the issue and what you have tried so far and we'll try to help… I believe the fan profiles on the 13th gen systems are handled very differently from those older machines.
