I am using an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-52H2
Spec - i5 9300H, GTX 1050 (3GB)
Windows Version 1909

I am facing this issue, wherein when I plug my Charger, certain applications start playing videos in a manner that seems horrible. The video gets back to normal when I unplug the cord.
This issue has persisted across 2 Intel Driver versions, 4 or 5 NVidia Driver Versions.
Applications that exhibit this issue are mostly Microsoft originated - Movies & TV App, Skype and Windows Media Player are the  main culprits.

    Hi,
You could try the drivers from Acer support site, for example NVIDIA driver version 417.88 and Intel driver version 25.20.100.6519, these drivers are most suitable for your model, there could be another possibility of lose display cable.
After trying the drivers, please follow the instructions in this tutorial for running sfc /scannow command.

I don't even use the NVidia GPU, so I don't think that is an issue. And about the Intel GPU version, the issue persisted even back then. Intel v25.20.100.6519 was just 2 updates old, as I mentioned.
I will try checking my Display Connection, because I did disassemble my Laptop once, but I don't remember touching the display cable, it was only for a cleanup of the fans
