The OP is asking how to wake Acer laptop from sleep with lid closed.
How difficult is it to understand that? The question is not "how to not sleep when lid closed" or anything thing to do with control panel.
Waking Acer laptops from sleep with lid closed simply isn't possible.

The last I heard, ACER and MSFT were working on a fix for late Sept 2020 delivery...maybe they've been successful. BUT, I found a workaround...I'm running Win10 on Acer E5-576..download ACER Quick Access from ACER Support...open, and select SETTINGS to the right of POWER BUTTON...no need to do anything immediately but NOTICE there are now 2 new icons in the task bar - 1 for QUICK ACCESS app / 1 for ACER POWER BUTTON...by clicking on ACER POWER BUTTON, you'll see 4 choices...by choosing SLEEP or HIBERNATE, the display goes black, and you can now close lid...whenever you lift lid, the display is restored...my habit is now to be sure the red ACER POWER BUTTON is always visible on the task bar, and I use it exclusively to manage the laptop "shutdown" or "sleep" or "hibernate" - I don't use the Win10 power button.
