Recently I applied new thermal paste to my laptop. I did not damage any components to the computer, but now my Acer Nitro 5 will not boot. It receives power and the battery and power light come on blue, but nothing else will show signs of life. What do I do? Im open for further reply.

Do you see anything on a screen when in direct sun light?

Try to reset the battery. Press and hold the power button for 15 sec. disconnect the charger and leave it for 20 minutes. Then plug the charger back in and power on.

Already tried that, but it still didn't work. My laptop worked prior to me checking and replacing my thermal paste, but afterwards it wont turn on anymore.

They should all be all connected, but I didn't see that edp cable. Will definitely check it.

Just checked. EDP Cable is just fine. This is what the inside of my PC looks like. Any possible issues? I will post close ups if needbe

Are those pads or paste? Looks like it`s leaked over  some MB elements, maybe it shorts the MB, otherwise the connections looks fine.

The light gray stuff is pads. They probably broke a bit under pressure, but the thermal paste was reapplied where it was before under my own extreme caution.

Look at the fan close up. I suggest to remove the cooler and clean the leakages.

Cooler? You mean thermal paste? I did get rid of some dust on the fans, but Im unsure if that's what you're referring to. Thanks for sticking here btw and replying so quickly.

The fans with the metal cooling pipes and to clean if some leaks, even if you need to repaste.

And BTW could you do me a personal favour, to take a close up of the bios chip (the sqare one near the CPU) so that the model is readable, but only if you plan to remove and clean. Thanks in advance!

I will, but I'm currently eating dinner right now before I get back to it. No problem!

Bon Appétit! I will go to bed soon so if you deside to remove the fans and clean the leaked paste you can do it in the evening and post the result and we can continue tomorrow..
