My Aspire V3-772G Webcam driver has disappeared for the Accer Crystal Eye webcam - A Mystery

Picture it: My office, 3 Weeks ago, my computer does a Windows 10 upgrade. Nothing out of the ordinary just minor irritations BUT when I go to use my web for a video conference, it’s not there.

Error code: 0xA00F4244 <no camera attached>. My webcam is missing, built-in Acer Crystal eye. It has been faithful to me for 7 years. Enter Microsoft, I followed their trouble shooting recommendations for the webcam since it was there update that caused my camera to disappear. Next, I went to the device manager which is when I discovered my Camera Diver was missing. I also looked in hidden devices to make sure it was not being sneaky. I tried reinstalling all my drivers from the Acer support site for my computer but to no avail. Then I reset my computer, however, my webcam has not returned and there is no driver in the device manager.

Can you solve this mystery?

An Win8x-to-Win10 upgrade (which isn't automatic) or a Win10 update? Jack E/NJ

A win 10 update. I did Win 8x-to-win 10 a year ago.

Did you check for a ControlPanel restore point before you did this? Jack E/NJ

yes I did the restore point before I reset. There was no camera driver.

I ran this as well before and after the reset. NotFoundError: The object can not be found here.

Google 'pc.rar' ' amazon'. Download & decompress the rar file from the link provided therein. Run the imaging program to see if it can detect it. Jack E/NJ
