Hello, I just bought this laptop 3 - 4 days ago and I have observed the yellow tints on the top edge of the screen. When I press the bezel, that tint responds and either spreads or it simply becomes dense. What can I do about it?

My laptop - Acer aspire 7 A715-75G

Probably nothing, but don't press on it!

Those are pressure marks, backlight bleeding. They appear if person mounting the panel is not careful and puts too much pressure in some areas, it is accentuated nowadays because there are panels that are only held by the bezel that surrounds them instead of being screwed to a frame or the back. Ideally one would close the whole bezel at the same time (by using a flat surface for example), but that doesn't always happen I'm afraid.

If the color distortion isn't too bad or widespread and you can live with it good, but otherwise exchange that unit for another one. I find it a failure at quality control and unacceptable on new machines.

Thank you, it's not noticeable, and thanks for telling not to press on it. Will take care
