chromebook 514-h1-c1T8 backlight not working

hi,
recently bought this chromebook and according to my specifications This model is meant to have a backlit keyboard. any idea on how to enable it?]

    Hi @bilbow

    You can adjust the brightness of a backlit keyboard on a Chromebook you just need to press the Alt key and tap the screen brightness up/screen brightness down keys to increase or decrease the intensity of your keyboard backlight.
    If you do not see a backlit on your keyboard, I would recommend  you to contact Acer support and check if this specific model comes with display backlight.

    I assume you mean a CB514-1H? I don't see the CB514-1H-C1T8 model specifically, but I do find it online and those specs don't show a backlight on the keyboard.
