HI,
i have an Acer spin 111-31. when i received it it worked fine, it was under windows and i was happy with it. One day though, the touchscreen functionality stopped working for whatever reason. Moving forward in time: i didn't like windows and installed Ubuntu to replace it, Ubuntu works better than windows but the touchscreen is still not working.
i will say one thing though. there is this key ( fn + f7) which is supposed to disable the touchscreen, i have tried it but it hasn't done anything so this is not the problem but i realized that, when pressing this set of keys, my touchPAD would stop working, so i thought maybe the computer is mistaking the touchpad for the touchscreen ???
i have tried getting in contact with acer but no luck, i have searched forums for hours etc.
on the Acer website there is no possibility to download drivers for Ubuntu since there are only some for windows.
i apologize if i haven't given enough info, if it's the case, just say what you need to help me and i'll provide.
thanks for any help you could provide
have a nice day
