Hi All,
I use my 'Acer Predator Helios PH315-52' mostly as a Desktop. Means I hardly unplug it from wall charger. My old Lenovo laptop used to have a setting called 'Battery Protection Mode' wherein the battery will charge only upto 60% when plugged in, to increase its life.
I don't see any such option in this laptop. It always charges to 100%. As other users pointed out in few other threads, when you switch of the laptop overnight and start it again next morning, anywhere between 1 to 12% battery will be discharged.
I am concerned about this constant discharge-recharge cycles. Since it always charges back to 100%, it will seriously impact the life of the battery. Any suggestions to avoid this?
Thanks,
Jithesh
