Does the m.2 slot support both sata and nvme interface? We bought https://bit.ly/3ig6Xug but it doesn't show up on bios, disk management, or anywhere else. We already tested it on other computers and the m.2 sata works just fine. So we want to make sure if this slot is only specific to nvme. After much searching, this information is not available anywhere so we're posting here to ask for your kind assistance. Please assist us. Your advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,

You can buy any M2 Nvme brand and you can add a
    256GB solid state drive
    512 GB, PCIe Gen3, 8 Gb/s up to 4 lanes, NVMe
    256 GB, PCIe Gen3, 8 Gb/s up to 4 lanes, NVMe
    128 GB, PCIe Gen3, 8 Gb/s, NVMe !

    Regards.

I'm sorry but this doesn't answer our question with regards to the m.2 slot compatibility

-The problem is that the NAND, NVMe and PCIe memory are not the same as SATA3.

Some M.2 NVMe slots do not support SATA although most support both. Acer seems to be specifying only NVMe in this model so it's not too surprising that a SATA version doesn't work. You are not limited by the size, the numbers @IVAN_PC give are just what Acer has shipped with. I'd get a return on the SATA drive and purchase an NVMe instead.
