Internal mic and speakers stopped working after Realtek driver update (Swift 5, SF514-53T)
Hi,
I updated the Realtek drivers from the Acer site, and both my internal microphone and internal speakers stopped working.
Also, headphones plugged into the jack port do not work.
However, both microphone and speakers work over USB and Bluetooth!
I have googled this problem for 10 hours now, tried every solution offered, updated drivers, BIOS etc. and nothing changes.
Some clues:
- Realtek doesn't show up in the Device manager.
- Under "Sound, video and game controllers", "High Definition Audio Device" is greyed out, with the Device status: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)"
- Under "System Devices", there is a warning (exclamation mark) on "Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED" with the Device status: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
I'm kind of going mad - can anyone help?
