Hello to
you all,
I have
purchased 3 Acer Swift3 and I am quite happy with them because they have a good
performance at an affordable price. One of the 3 is a Acer Swift 314-41 with 8
GB Ram and a 512 GB M.2 Nvme disk (Western Digital WDC PC SN520
SDAPNUW-512G-1014) in original. The disk has a Sandisk controller with a
maximum bandwidth PCIe 3.0 2x. I have maximized the Ram to 20 GB and also
bought a traditional 2 TB 2.5-inch hdd to have more space for large files.
Now my
problem: the nvme disk shows a random behaviour sometimes hooking up 1 lane
(x1) and sometimes 2 lanes (x2) (see the photos). I really do not understand
why. I tried to resolve the problem installing the newest AMD chipset. Also,
the Bios is the newest available. The strange and annoying thing is that I have
to boot up 2 times: the first time it goes with x1 speed, the second time with
x2 speed!
Someone has
a suggestion? Many thanks in advance.
Wolfgang
