RAM Upgrade for Aspire E5-476G-54DA

Hi Everyone,

I would like to upgrade my laptop by adding 8GB RAM and put it in the 2nd slot. Before I asked, this is my laptop specs:

- Processor: Intel Core i5-8250U 1.6GHz
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce MX150 2GB VRAM
- RAM: Kingston 4 GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM (ACR24D4S7S8MB-4)

And this RAM that I would like to purchase:
Corsair Vengeance Series 8GB 1x8GB DDR4 SODIMM 2400MHz C16 (CMSX8GX4M1A2400C16)

The question:
Q1: Does anyone know if this new RAM that I would like to purchase is compatible with my laptop?
Q2: If it compatible, can this RAM run together with my existing RAM? Or did I need to remove the old one?

Check this information:

Send some screenshots of cpuz, as some versions of this model came with a ddr3L. About the ram you want to buy, check if you have xmp profiles. You do not need to remove the old ram. You can also add a 2.5 "ssd and a 9.0mm caddy to put the hdd in place of the dvd. I also think you can install a 2280 m2 ssd:

About SSD, I want to install a 32GB Intel Optane and upgrade my HDD to 2TB instead of putting an NVME SSD. I'm familiar with Intel Optane because I use it on my PC.

Your model does not have sata mode in rst with optane in the bios. It is not possible to install an optane memory.

okay got it and thank you for remind me that. But back to my main question, did that Corsair RAM I mentioned before compatible with my laptop?

Yes, but I think that ram has xmp profiles. Your notebook bios does not have xmp profiles. I would choose to purchase a ram without xmp profiles.
